If Lola and Jamie Rice read this would you please get back to teaching your style of BBQ to the masses!

A few years back my wife and I took a class from the Rice's in Houston. In attendance were some very good cooks from the competition circuit, Paul Kirk among them.

The hands on approach is in IMHO is the best way to teach technique and gives the participant the most exposure to the teacher.

We were treated to some eye opening and practical methods to prepare and cook the 4 main BBQ meats.

Rubs, sauces, marinades, and presentation were exhaustively covered.

Dave Klose provided his factory's meeting room and all the pits in which to cook. The lunch was great and so were the men Dave had helped with set-up.

I'm sure there are many great classes taught by many fine BBQ'ers, I have taken several of them, but the Rice's class sticks in my mind as one of the best.
